Every child LOVES Music Together®! During the early years, it is extremely important that parents and caregivers be the ones who create a nurturing environment. Children are biologically "wired" to respond most to those with whom they have close bonds. Music Together can help you build that bond.  Music Together is a research based program, and is so much more than a "mommy and me" class. Best of all, it's fun!

We take our shoes off, and sit in a circle on the beautiful carpet.  (Families with babies are encouraged to bring a baby blanket as well.)

Moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, all connect to the children they bring to class in a special way. Sharing music with your child creates a loving, nurturing and lasting bond.

Classes include songs and activities where parents can musically lead their children.

Miss Lisa leads the class in a song using resonator bells.  Every song collection has a number of songs pitched specifically for the special "D" and "A" resonator bells we use.  Families join in, finding various levels of beat, and exploring dfferent ways to play the bells with their children.

Even a hug can be musical when you sing to your child.

Music Together classes are so much fun, sometimes we forget how much learning is taking place.  Rolling a ball in Music Together classes gives children a visual of rhythm, space and time, when parents model the activity to the beat of the music for their children.

Play alongs are so much fun, for children and adults! Children explore playing age-appropriate musical instruments, and have the opportunity to make music, in a non-performance oriented environment.

By emphasizing actual music making experiences, rather than concepts about music, Music Together introduces children to the pleasures of making music instead of passively receiving it from CDs or TV.

While Miss Lisa leads the song, children enjoy playing with rhythm sticks, and moms and dads model keeping an accurate beat for their child.

Music Together includes songs from different cultures, and provides everyone a chance to sing, play and drum.  Children experience rhythmic explorations around beautiful gathering drums!

Every semester, the song collections change, except for the Hello and Goodbye songs.  Singing goodbye to our families in music class is always sweeter when you get a hug like this.
